Between Fences

The Between Fences Smithsonian exhibition toured Kansas from 2006 to 2007 in partnership with Museum on Main Street. The exhibition wove the history fences into the story of America. Whether barbed wire, white picket, post rock, split rail, electric wire, or a patio privacy fence, America's fascination with fences is evident along any highway, county road, or city street. 

The Between Fences exhibition traveled to Lucas, Wamego, Winfield, Paola, Larned, and Oakley.
