Humanities Kansas connects Kansans with stories, ideas, and each other to strengthen our communities. 

Vision

We envision Kansas energized by people engaging with diverse histories, literatures, and cultures – sharing stories that inspire, sparking conversations that inform, and inviting new insights to strengthen our communities. 

Values

  We commit to the exchange of ideas to inspire new bonds among Kansans, strengthen existing ties, and boost civic participation.

  We encourage Kansans to tell their unique stories – and the stories of their communities - and to listen actively to those told by others. We seek new ways to integrate the humanities more fully in our communities.

  We work towards fairness and amplify underheard stories.
